Sandwich with vegetables, "Alifoto" fresh cream cheese and caramelized onions

Ingredients

8 slices of  bread
150 g "Alifoto" Fresh cream cheese Kalogeraki
150 g mushrooms
2 red peppers from Florina
2 yellow peppers
2 zucchini
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Fresh coriander

For caramelized onions:
3 onions dry
25 ml olive oil
20 ml balsamic vinegar
50 g brown sugar
¼ teaspoon of thyme

Method

Cut onions in a round shape and sauté in olive oil, on low heat, for 5 minutes. We do not forget to mix frequently.
Once they get a golden color, add the sugar, vinegar and thyme. Continue cooking until the liquids are homogenized and caramelized.

Cut vegetables into slices, sprinkle with a olive oil and bake until they will be soft.

Once cooked, sprinkle with chopped coriander and put salt and pepper.

Then heat the bread on the toaster, spread a thick layer of "Alifoto" Fresh cream cheese Kalogeraki and put a layer of caramelized onion and vegetables.

We have to serve the sandwich as soon as is possible! 


Tips:

  • We can use any vegetable that is baked on grill or in the oven.
  • We can use any bread we like.
