Tarhana with paprika and Traditionally Cretan cheese

Ingredients

250 gr. tarhana of our taste

1 onion, chopped

800 ml hot meat or vegetable broth

30ml olive oil

½ teaspoon paprika

Freshly ground pepper

Salt

For serving

200 gr. Traditionally Cretan cheese KALOGERAKI

50ml olive oil

1 tbsp. paprika

¼ teaspoon Bukovo

Implementation

In a large saucepan, sauté the onion with the olive oil, add the pepper, the tarhana, the broth and salt. Cook it until it absorbs the liquids and becomes granular. In a bowl, prepare the paprika oil by mixing the olive oil, the boukovo and the olive oil. Serve tarhana while hot with Traditionally Cretan cheese Kalogeraki and paprika olive oil.

 

Tips:

Depending on the type of tarhana you may need more or less broth. We can also add tomato sauce.
