Cheese in the diet of adults

Nutrition is the medium that gives the body the nutrients it needs to function properly.

From diet we get energy and all the necessary ingredients to be healthy, maintain a normal weight and at the same time, reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases. In adulthood, the body begins to show obvious damage and with it the risks of various diseases.

One of them is osteoporosis, which is caused by a lack of calcium, ie a diet that is poor in dairy products. 99% of the body's calcium is found in bones and teeth and is the main ingredient for their healthy growth. We need calcium throughout our lives. Therefore, if our diet does not take care to contain daily dairy products, the health of our bones and teeth is shaken.

The role of cheese in this process is catalytic, as cheese can be consumed by all people, regardless of the health problems they may be experiencing. A small amount of cheese, if consumed daily, can meet the body's calcium needs. People with lactose intolerance may not be able to consume certain dairy products, but cheese can be included in their daily diet because it contains small amounts of lactose.

The way the cheese is made makes it friendly to our digestive system. Therefore, there is no inhibitory factor that prevents us from including cheese in our daily diet. Even if some people are reluctant to consume cheese because of the fat it has, there are many Greek cheeses that are low in fat and are just as nutritious and tasty.

In addition to calcium, cheese is also a source of high biological value protein and gives the body all the essential amino acids. Protein contributes to the growth of muscle tissue but also to the restoration of damaged body tissues, which often happens in people who are involved in sports.

Characteristic of the protein contained in cheese is the fact that, due to the stage of maturation through which it passes, the protein is broken down and thus is completely absorbed by the body and at the same time is more digestible.

So we all need to become "friends" of cheese and discover its tremendous nutritional value for our body!
